🚨 URGENT NOTICE
Per the alleged victims, it has come to our attention that fraudulent individuals are exploiting the names of HypeX Digital and potentially other reputable digital marketing agencies in Sri Lanka to mislead and exploit unsuspecting individuals.
These scams could involve fake job offers and fraudulent investment schemes to extort victims’ money.
Fraudulent Activities Identified
- Fake Job Offers
- Scammers claim to represent HypeX Digital Marketing and offer part-time job opportunities, asking victims to “help promote YouTube content creators” by subscribing to channels.
- They promise payments for simple online tasks, creating a false sense of legitimacy.
- Investment and Prize Scams (As per complaints received from alleged victims)
- Fraudsters impersonate government entities, such as the Inland Revenue Department, claiming recipients have won 1 Million LKR.
- Victims must pay an “18% tax” of an amount stated upfront to release the winnings.
- Payments are directed to specific bank accounts, including a People’s Bank account at the Galle Fort branch (Account ending in 022).
- Targeting Other Agencies
- Similar fraudulent schemes have been reported under the names of other digital marketing agencies, tarnishing the reputation of legitimate businesses and misleading their clients.
Important Notes
- HypeX Digital Marketing DOES NOT
- Offer part-time jobs involving YouTube promotions.
- Engage in cashback deals, prize schemes, or investment plans.
- Operate under “HypeX Marketing” or solicit payments for any such schemes.
- Legitimate agencies, including HypeX Digital (Pvt) Ltd., conduct all communications through official channels and never demand upfront payments for prizes, investments, or employment.
What You Should Do
- Do NOT share personal or financial information.
- Do NOT make any payments or engage with the scammers.
- Report these incidents immediately to

- Cyber Crimes Unit of the Sri Lanka Police.
- And the relevant Bank if already a victim
If you suspect your interactions are part of a scam, contact the legitimate agency’s official contact information for verification.
We Are Taking Action
HypeX Digital is actively working with relevant authorities to investigate these fraudulent activities. We are also coordinating with other impacted digital marketing agencies to address this issue collectively and ensure the public is informed and protected.
